Doctorat China Scholarship Council
The China Scholarship Council is a non-profit institution affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education. Its objective is to provide financial assistance to Chinese citizens wishing to pursue their PhD abroad.
Since 2012, the University of Bordeaux has signed a partnership agreement to welcome Chinese candidates for a period of 36 or 48 months to complete their doctorate at the University of Bordeaux. Thanks to this agreement, up to 25 grants are offered each year by the CSC to Chinese students wishing to undertake a PhD at the University of Bordeaux.
Who may apply?
Candidates must:
- Be citizens and permanent residents of the People’s Republic of China at the time of application (candidates from Hong-Kong, Taiwan and Macao are not eligible).
- Not be currently working abroad.
- Hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) prior to their enrolment at the University of Bordeaux.
- Have a good level of proficiency in English or French, depending on the specified instruction language.
